Psalm 138

I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
     before the gods I sing your praise;
 I bow down toward your holy temple
     and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,
     for you have exalted above all things
     your name and your word.
 On the day I called, you answered me;
     my strength of soul you increased.
 All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord,
     for they have heard the words of your mouth,
 and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
     for great is the glory of the Lord.
 For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
     but the haughty he knows from afar.
 Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
     you preserve my life;
you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
     and your right hand delivers me.
 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
     your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
     Do not forsake the work of your hands.

As we traveled to Wisconsin, at the beginning of the month, I was thinking about the calling that the Lord had placed on us to go to Uganda and thinking about all the things that need to take place before we can be on the field full time. From being fully funded to completing all the assignments and classes required. Then, I began thinking will we ever make it?  When I opened the Bible app on my phone the verse of the day was Psalm 138:8 "The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands"  It was a sweet reminder that the work is the Lord's to begin with, we are but His vessels to do is will, and He is faithful to fulfill His purpose for us. We do not need to be anxious about anything. We can rest in knowing that He will do what He has called us too. And so with you, whatever the Lord has called you to, he will fulfill it, you only need to trust in Him!

To God Be The Glory!
This month, the Lord added 3 new monthly partners to the sending team!
We are very much encouraged and we praise the Lord for each one!
We also had a current partner double their support! So with the added numbers we stand at just below 20%! We praise the Lord for His provisions!

"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
And how are they to preach unless they are sent"

-Romans 10: 13-15

Greetings!
     Did you know that you can play a vital role in reaching Ugandan's with the Gospel? Just as it takes more than just the men and women on the frontlines in war to win a battle, it also takes more than just the missionary on the field to reach the lost and to make disciples in a foreign land.
    The Apostle Paul knew about going on missionary journeys and he understood the vital need of a support team. In his letter to the Romans, he established the importance of cross-cultural outreach on two levels – those who go and those who serve by sending. Both are equally significant in fulfilling the Great Commission.
      In verse 13 of chapter 10, Paul quotes from Joel “For whoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.” Then in the next verse, he makes the appeal for “preachers” to go, “how shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of who they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

Paul knew that there had to be someone going to proclaim the Good News – someone had to go – whether a pastor, missionary or cross-cultural worker –

But, He also knew that there must be another involved in the mission. After establishing the need for those who carry the Gospel to the lost world, he takes it a step further and asks the question "And how shall they preach except they are sent?" He realized that the preachers cannot go unless there are others who are also involved in this worldwide evangelism and discipleship endeavor: those who serve as senders. Those who are behind the scenes, yet vitally important for the mission to be accomplished. Throughout Paul's letters you will notice the great emphasis that he places on those who are actively involved in His missionary journeys and the rewards in Christ that  are accredited to them as they serve the Lord faithfully, through their faithful prayers and giving to the Lord's work. They were able to share in the victories of souls being won for the Kingdom.
Still today there is a tremendous need for Senders- Those whose hearts are stirred by peoples of other cultures to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved, yet have not heard His call to go. They still  play a huge role in reaching the lost with the Gospel, by standing with those who go - while they are preparing to go, while they are on the field and when they return home on furloughs.

Some different areas in which one can serve as a sender include:
*Moral support- just being there when possible
*Logistic Support – all bits & pieces
*Communication – Support Letters, tapes & more
*Prayer Support – Spiritual Warfare at its best. We need people to pray for us to be bold in proclaiming the Gospel to the Lost, Strength to remain steadfast in making Disciples and Protection from the schemes of the Devil.
*Financial Support – This is the part nobody likes talking about, but is a vital part of being able to be fully engaged in the ministry to which the Lord has called us too. We are required by ABWE to have 100% committed monthly support before we can move to Uganda.  This support covers both living costs and ministry expenses. And by being fully supported we are able to be 100% engaged in the communities, where the Lord has us working to reach people with the Gospel.

Like Paul, we know that in order for us to go, we must be sent.

We would like to challenge you to prayerfully consider how you will partner with us in this ministry. We know that it is God’s work, but He has given each of us a unique but vital part to play. As we minister on the “frontlines”, we know it is the faithful prayers and financial gifts of our support team that are essential to keep the ministry moving forward. Maybe you want to be involved in world evangelism and discipleship, but you have not heard the call to go. The good news is there is an opportunity for you to serve the Lord by being a sender. We challenge you to prayerfully consider joining our team of Senders.

We appreciate your involvement in this work. Whether you can give monthly, a one-time gift or if you will commit to pray, we are grateful to be working together with you to spread the gospel. If you would like to join our sending team by giving financially you can visit www.abwe.org/give  and put in account number 0170261.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions,
