WMO PRAYER UPDATE OCTOBER 1, 2017

Shalom Friend and Partner,

Blessings in Messiah Jesus our Lord God.

A SHORT UPDATE TO PRAY FOR

By God’s grace during the previous months of August and September, WMO conducted two major successful evangelistic outreaches in both Romania and Tanzania. The reports will be sent to you next month. In both outreaches, there was significant everlasting fruit produced.

Yom Kippur and the days preceding - For Jewish people around the world, Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year. Yom Kippur means “Day of Atonement”. It is held on the 10th day of Tishrei – this year (2017), from right before sunset on September 29 until after nightfall on September 30. For 26 hours Jews “afflict their souls”. What this means is, they abstain from food and drink, do not wash or apply lotions or creams, do not wear leather footwear, and abstain from marital relations. Instead they spend their day in synagogue, praying for forgiveness.

Prior to Yom Kippur, Jewish people spend 10 days reflecting on and confessing their sins over the past year. This is called “the 10 days of Awe (Repentance). They are hoping God will see their Mitzvot (good deeds) and forgive their sins, and write their name in the Book of Life.

But as you know, The Lord God said in Leviticus 17:11 “without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins”. God requires a blood atonement to forgive sins. However, there is no more temple in Jerusalem today for the blood sacrifices to made, and therefore many Jewish people go home unforgiven and with a guilty conscious of sins.

Today on October 1, 2017, we at WMO will be conducting our next Jewish evangelistic outreach in Plattsburgh, upstate New York. Together with several churches and faithful Christians we trust God to bring many Jews to this event. During this event, we will present the Gospel of Jesus, The Son of God who is the atonement for the sins for Israel and the world. We trust that many will come to know Jesus as their Lord God and Savior. We write to you today to stand and pray with us and for us. Please pray that the Spirit of the Lord God will touch many with the matchless name of Messiah Jesus. Zechariah 4:6

Thank you dear friends for your faithful prayers and support. May the Lord receive glory and honor and may HIS Gospel go forth to all Nations, according to Romans 1:16.

Henry and Darlene
